Hope Chapel Mission Hills Some may be asking why we are changing the church’s name to Hope Chapel. It would be easy to say that we are no longer in the Village, but it is more than that. Lompoc has been riddled with crime, poverty, and homelessness more than most communities on the Central Coast. These people don’t need another government program that will fail them. They need a better hope, Jesus Christ. We want our new name to reflect what we want to instill in the people who come to our church. When their world is crumbling around them, they can come here and find eternal hope that will not disappoint. That will come from being a church that teaches God’s Word, is led by the Spirit, has a heart for the Lost, and is the most loving church in town. You can be a big part of getting our new building ready for our first Sunday. We have a work day this Saturday at 9 AM. We will be doing some more demo and prep for the contractors. It should only take a couple of hours. Men, I want to encourage you to join us for our Men’s breakfast at the Missions Hills church at 8 AM. It will be a good time of fellowship before the work begins. The church is in need of a social media coordinator. This person would create, plan, and post the church’s digital resources. They would need to be familiar with a computer and comfortable in the social media realm. You would post content across all of our channels. We are looking for someone who enjoys doing this and would love the share the Gospel thru digital media. If you are interested, please get in touch with Pastor Chuck. Finally, I want to challenge you to pray for the communities surrounding our new property. Thousands of people live within a mile of the church and need to hear the life-saving message of Jesus Christ. We plan to send out postcards to inform everyone of our move, and we have some outreaches planned for the future, but nothing can top the power of a praying church. I’m asking you to lift the families in Mission Hills and Mesa Oaks. Pray that God will grant us favor and give open doors to minister. That’s about it for now. See you Sunday.
