At the Equipping Dinner, I shared how the Elders are trying to infuse hope into our mission statement. We were trying to define what hope means in the context of our church, relating to how it is used in the Bible. We see in the Scriptures that it is used regarding salvation, sanctification, and our eternal destination, Heaven. Nothing has been finalized, but something hit home with me this week as I updated many of the church’s brochures, “We desire to bring hope to our community.” Through our services, outreaches, and events, we want to show our community the hope of Jesus Christ.
We are making plans to start Phase 3 of our building project. Phase 3 is about making our property community ready. That includes improving the landscaping, parking lot lights, storage, and exterior repairs. We had an anonymous donor offer $42,000 as a matching campaign. Your partnering with us can help us meet our goal of $84,000, which will help us complete Phase 3 and prepare us to host events to bring hope to this community. Will you pray about contributing?
Finally, on February 25th, we will hold our first Hope Sunday. This is an evangelistic Sunday where you can invite friends and family. We will have a few unique features during the service, and then after, we will have lunch and baptism. Please make plans to join us that Sunday.
