Psalm 130:5-7 I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in his word I hope; my soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen for the morning, more than watchmen for the morning. O Israel, hope in the Lord! For with the Lord there is steadfast love, and with him is plentiful redemption. We want people to be filled with hope when they come to our church. Psalm 9:18 says that God gives hope to the needy. Hope fills us with confidence when we put our trust in Jesus. One of the mottos you will hear around here is, “Hope is here.” Our church will be where those disillusioned by the world can come and find hope, joy, and peace. That starts with us being a welcoming church. People will come in with their bags full of problems and find a place to cast them on Jesus. There they will find redemption and steadfast love. We must also show that God’s Word is true, and they can put their hope in its truths. We offer a better hope that fills us with confidence to face the future. Things are really cranking around the new property. Carpentry in the sanctuary will be done this week, and the painters will paint there next week. After that, the carpet will go in, and we will be close to moving our services here. Progress continues in the education building. The new parking lot will be installed in a week. If you walk around the property, you can feel it coming together. Feel free to drop by and check it out. We have several events coming up that you may want to be involved with.
