Last Sunday, I talked about Jesus being the anchor of our hope. We can put our trust in Him because He is sure and steadfast. Hebrews 6 tells us that Jesus doesn’t overlook our service or labor of love in His name. All of these are a tremendous encouragement to the believer. This got me thinking. If we have been given this hope, how can we bring this hope to those who need it in our church and community? That question has been bouncing around in my head since Sunday. It’s a question that I want our church to think and pray about. If we collectively pray over this, God will answer and open doors.
Fall ministry is upon us. Our fall growth groups will be starting in a couple of weeks. We are going to do them a little differently than in the past. We will have three groups: Men’s, Women’s, and Married, and they will all meet on Wednesday nights at the church. We will gather for worship in the Christian education building and then break into groups in the various classrooms. The groups start on September 20th at 7 PM. You can register here.
Ladies, mark your calendars for our Fall Refresh. Saturday, September 30th, from 11 AM to 1 PM, will be a time of good food, fellowship, and a good word. The event is free. All you need to do is bring a salad or side dish. To register, click here.
That’s it for now. See you on Sunday.
